No sooner had the new term started and School 21 open its doors to over 100 teachers for a special Primary TeachMeet focussed entirely on oracy. All 17 Primary Teachers at School 21 stepped up to present an oracy idea, approach, strategy or project they had been working on over the last term.

The TeachMeet was supported by Voice 21. Speaking about the event our Director Beccy Earnshaw said:

“It was remarkable to see the breadth of the ideas teachers had developed to support oracy in their classrooms. From Harkness discussions with 4 year olds to the development of computational thinking through talk in Year 4, the presentations gave real insight into the benefits oracy can bring to every classroom”
