Voice 21 announces 10 new Oracy Centres of Excellence

Today we are pleased to announce that we have accredited 10 new Voice 21 Oracy Centres of Excellence.

These schools join a network of schools that have been recognised for their commitment to excellence in delivering a high-quality oracy education for all their students.

They have been assessed against five key benchmarks:

  • Do they have an ambitious vision for oracy?
  • Have they built a culture of oracy?
  •  Is their curriculum for oracy sustained and wide-ranging?
  • Do they recognise oracy as central to learning?
  • And are they accountable for the impact of oracy education?

Achieving this status is a significant milestone—not only for these schools but for the national oracy movement. Their leadership and example will inspire teachers and school leaders across the Voice 21 network and beyond, helping to ensure that even more children and young people benefit from a high-quality oracy education which equips them to thrive in school, work and life.
