Through our work with schools over the last five years, we have learned the importance of dedicated leadership for oracy within a school. In order to provide a high-quality oracy education for all students, schools must prioritise oracy teaching and learning, providing staff with professional development and support in order to upskill them in this important area of learning.
Our International Oracy Leaders Programme is based on the successful National Oracy Leaders Programme we ran in conjunction with Cambridge University between 2017 and 2020.
Applications for our latest programme have recently closed, but please sign up here to receive announcements on future programmes and opportunities.
Our programmes are for teachers and school leaders in schools outside of the UK who wish to develop an in-depth understanding of oracy, engaging with the latest research and applying this in practice in order to develop their own and others’ practice. Participants explore what it means to value oracy across a whole school, becoming familiar with theories of whole-school change to ensure they are able to make a sustained and long-lasting impact.
