In the third stage of membership as a Voice 21 Oracy School, you will improve and sustain practice across your school, embedding long-term organisational change. There will also be opportunities to support other schools with the development of their practice.

Our Oracy Impact & Innovation Course, consultancy support and self-led modules will equip you and your teachers with the expertise, tools and resources to sustain, strengthen and share your oracy teaching and learning practice.

By the end of Stage 3, oracy will be a key aspect of your school’s vision and ethos. Your students’ oracy skills will develop and strengthen year on year, accelerating their personal confidence and academic progress.

  • Revisited and developed your school’s vision for oracy, priorities and strategic planning for the year

Commitments and courses at Stage 3:

Oracy Impact & Innovation course

This course will equip you and your teachers with the expertise, tools and resources to sustain, strengthen and share your oracy teaching and learning practice.

It includes three twilight sessions across the year for two members of staff and the opportunity to visit a fellow Stage 3 school. An additional 12 hours of discretionary in-school time school to plan and deliver an ‘Oracy Innovation Project’. 

Ongoing consultancy support

In addition to your ongoing contact, your Oracy Consultant will spend a full day in your school supporting you to evaluate practice and identify areas for further development and providing targeted support depending on the needs of your school.

Online learning

We have a number of different self-led online modules at each stage which we would encourage your staff to complete. Each module is approximately six hours of online learning, as well as additional activities and tasks to complete in the classrooms.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost? Each stage costs £2500 (primary schools) or £3000 (secondary schools) for the year. If you sign up for all three stages now, your total cost over three years will be reduced to £7000 (primary schools) or £8500 (secondary schools).
