This Autumn, don’t miss the virtual oracy event of the year: Oracy October!
Between 5-16 October we’ll be hosting the first ever* virtual festival of oracy!

Explore, experience and engage with the latest thinking, innovation and best practice in oracy teaching and learning. You’ll hear from leading voices in education and wider society, sharing their perspectives, ideas and hopes for oracy education.

*We’re pretty sure it is!

Expect to experience

  • Inspiring masterclasses, sharing insights and ideas on how to get talking in class and across your school
  • Engaging conversations with oracy and education, leading the conversation and provoking new thinking
  • Stimulating discussions in our oracy book club, hosting the hot of the press oracy academia and related literature
  • Student outcomes and showcases of oracy education in action
  • Consultations with the Voice 21 team to support you in your planning and next steps for oracy in your school

What you’ll gain:

  • Access to the Oracy October online community for the whole month of October
  • Daily emails, across the fortnight, of the days live events and newly released content
  • Opportunities to network with thousands of teachers, leaders and oracy experts nationally and internationally
  • Share and showcase your own ideas and learn from others

Without the normal geographical barriers to in-person events, you will be able to participate and engage in far more sessions than we could have fit into a single day’s event.

Note: If you’re booking for groups of ten or more, we can offer a discount. Please contact, hello@voice21.org to make your booking.

How does it work?

Don’t fear, you won’t need to take two weeks of work to attend the event! Throughout October you will have access to the Oracy October Festival Space – here you will be able to access our live events and recordings as well as curated resources and research for you to explore at your leisure.

The Festival Space will also enable you to engage in conversations with us and other attendees, sharing ideas, participating in polling, debates and discussions, much like an in-person event!

  1. Oracy October Festival Space

After you’ve got your ticket, on 5 October, you’ll receive login details for the unique Oracy October Festival Space where we’ll be hosting the event. You will be able to access this space for the whole of October.

The Festival Space will allow you to access all the live events at the festival, engage with other attendees and explore a wide range of other content, resources and research.

2. *New* Daily content
Between 5 – 16 October we’ll release new content for you to explore and engage with at your own leisure.

3. Live events from 5.00pm
